T.J. Maxx has officially opened its newest location in Jacksonville Beach, with a grand opening held on Sunday morning. The store, situated at 4054 Third St. S, occupies a 25,000 square foot space that was formerly home to Bed Bath & Beyond. Alongside a variety of products including clothing, home decor, and accessories, the new store aims to offer an extensive selection for local shoppers.
The T.J. Maxx in Jacksonville Beach operates from 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. daily, though on its grand opening day, it extended its hours from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. to allow more customers to explore the new offerings. This location joins other retail giants in the South Beach Regional Shopping Center, which hosts popular stores such as Home Depot, Trader Joe’s, and Nordstrom Rack.
In a show of support for the local community, T.J. Maxx is donating $10,000 to Operation New Uniform, an initiative that aids veterans transitioning to civilian life. Additionally, T.J. Maxx is participating in a nationwide fundraising effort for Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, making a commitment to contribute towards educational and emergency assistance for children across the country. This initiative emphasizes T.J. Maxx’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
The South Beach Regional Shopping Center, which spans 302,737 square feet, is also in the process of expanding. The addition of the new T.J. Maxx coincides with the upcoming launch of a second Shake Shack location in the area. Set to be located at 3956 S. Third St., the new Shake Shack facility will cover 3,200 square feet and is currently undergoing construction with an estimated project review of $100,000. The city has approved a permit for renovations and improvements to this new restaurant, indicating a focus on enhancing dining options within the shopping center.
Additionally, North Beach’s diverse retail options recently expanded to include new tenants such as Nordstrom Rack, J.Crew Factory, and Bath & Body Works, marking an increase in retail offerings for local shoppers.
Before the opening of this new location, Jacksonville already had four other T.J. Maxx stores located on Atlantic Blvd., University Blvd., San Jose Blvd., and in Argyle Forest. This expansion signals a strong presence of T.J. Maxx in the Jacksonville area and showcases the continued demand for value-focused retail options in the community.
The South Beach Regional Shopping Center is owned by Regency Centers Corp. and features a variety of retail anchors, including Ross Dress For Less and Staples. The center has been a key retail destination in Jacksonville Beach and continues to attract a mix of both established retailers and newcomers.
With the successful opening of T.J. Maxx and ongoing developments in the shopping center, Jacksonville Beach is poised for an even more vibrant and diverse shopping experience, catering to the needs and preferences of its growing population.
