The city of Jacksonville Beach has recently welcomed a new T.J. Maxx location, which opened its doors on Sunday morning. This store, occupying a 25,000-square-foot space, is situated within the South Beach Regional Shopping Center, previously home to Bed Bath & Beyond. Shoppers can now explore a wide array of offerings including clothing, home décor, accessories, and more at this latest addition to the local retail landscape.
The South Beach Regional Shopping Center, which spans a total area of 302,737 square feet, is not just home to T.J. Maxx; it also hosts other popular retailers including Home Depot, Trader Joe’s, and Nordstrom Rack. The shopping center is also preparing to enhance its dining options with the anticipated opening of Shake Shack, the area’s second location expected to arrive in 2025.
Customers can visit T.J. Maxx daily from 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. Regular operations will resume after the special grand opening event on May 18, where the store will have extended hours from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M.. This event is anticipated to attract numerous shoppers eager to check out the new locale.
In addition to providing a new shopping destination, T.J. Maxx is committed to supporting the local community. The company has announced a donation of $10,000 to Operation New Uniform, an organization dedicated to assisting veterans in their transition to civilian life. Furthermore, T.J. Maxx participates in Save the Children’s U.S. Programs fundraising campaign, enhancing its role in community welfare initiatives.
T.J. Maxx already operates four other locations in the Jacksonville area, specifically on Atlantic Blvd, University Blvd, San Jose Blvd, and in Argyle Forest. The new store aims to expand the shopping options available to residents and visitors alike. With the addition of Shake Shack scheduled for a future date, the South Beach shopping center is set to evolve further, offering both shopping and dining experiences that cater to the community.
The South Beach Regional Shopping Center is owned by Regency Centers Corp, a Jacksonville-based real estate firm that is currently overseeing renovation efforts at the center. Recent renovations include updating the façades of existing stores and enhancing overall aesthetics, which aim to attract more visitors to the shopping hub.
The new T.J. Maxx store stands to enhance the retail landscape of Jacksonville Beach, providing not just a shopping experience, but also a focus on community engagement through contributions and support for local initiatives. As it joins the other established retailers within the South Beach Regional Shopping Center, T.J. Maxx is expected to draw both residents and tourists alike, contributing positively to the local economy.
