Jacksonville is set to welcome its first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant on July 15, 2025. This new establishment will be located at 8308 Merchants Way in Oakleaf Station, situated in Southwest Jacksonville.

The upcoming restaurant will feature a dual drive-thru for customer convenience, as well as patio dining for an enjoyable outdoor experience. The restaurant boasts a total area of 2,691 square feet, providing ample space for patrons to enjoy their meals.

In addition to the Oakleaf Station location, Raising Cane’s is exploring the potential for four more restaurant sites across Northeast Florida, which would establish a total of five locations in the region. The additional proposed locations include:

  • A 2,868-square-foot restaurant at 4863 Gate Parkway in the Markets at Town Center.
  • A 2,683-square-foot restaurant at 730 Skymarks Drive in River City Marketplace.
  • A 2,786-square-foot restaurant at 9501 Arlington Expressway on a site that was formerly part of Regency Square Mall.

All proposed sites are notable for being former locations of Pollo Tropical, a restaurant chain that closed its last three Jacksonville locations in February 2025.

The Oakleaf Station site is being managed by Retail Strategies LLC, a Jacksonville-based firm, while the civil engineering aspects for all three additional projects are being conducted by Kimley-Horn Jacksonville.

Raising Cane’s has its roots in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where it was founded in 1996. The restaurant chain is recognized for its limited menu that primarily centers around fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and their signature Cane’s Sauce.

As part of its aggressive growth strategy, Raising Cane’s plans to open over 100 new restaurants nationwide in 2025. To support the forthcoming opening in Southwest Jacksonville, the company aims to hire more than 150 crew members. A hiring center has been established at Comfort Inn & Suites Jacksonville-Orange Park, where applications will be accepted until June 22, 2025.

Furthermore, to celebrate the grand opening, the first 20 customers on opening day will have the chance to win Free Cane’s for a Year, an initiative designed to generate excitement for the new restaurant.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers continues to solidify its presence in Florida, consistently expanding its operations while focusing on their renowned menu. With the establishment of five locations planned in Jacksonville, the fast-food chain demonstrates its commitment to catering to the local community and its growing demand for their offerings.
