Prelude Music Camp culminates in public Grand Finale Concert this Saturday in Jacksonville
Jacksonville, FL — June 16 – June 21, 2025 – A diverse group of musicians ranging from youths to adults from across Jacksonville are coming together this week for Prelude Music Camp, a dynamic summer program that fosters musical growth, creativity, and community through composition and performance.
Now in its 25th year, Prelude Music Camp is a hidden gem in the Jacksonville arts scene. Each summer, students participate in a unique composition competition, with winning pieces performed by members of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and camp faculty. Campers also rehearse in small ensembles, guided by dedicated coaches and music educators, and take part in theory classes and creative workshops.
“This week has been an incredible opportunity to watch our students grow—not just as musicians, but as people,” said Lynne Radcliffe, Director of Prelude Music Camp 2025. “It’s a joy to see them light up when they play together.”
In addition to the exclusive composition performance, the camp hosts midweek concerts on Thursday and Friday at 12:00 PM. (Please note: there will be no concert on Wednesday.)
The week concludes with a Grand Finale Concert open to the public:

📍 Riverside Park United Methodist Church
819 Park St, Jacksonville, FL 32204
🕚 Concert begins at 11:00 AM
