The team’s performance included rounds of 296, 288, and 294, which reflected their competitive spirit despite facing challenging conditions.

Sharing the 11th position with them was Maryland, highlighting the competitive nature of the event. Leading the tournament was Florida Atlantic University, clinching the team title with an impressive final score of 26-under-par 838.

At the individual level, Brandon Lohr stood out as the top player for Jacksonville, finishing tied for eighth overall. Lohr achieved a total score of 5-under-par 211 and posted rounds of 68, 71, and 72. His opening round of 68 marked a highlight of the tournament, tying for the fourth-lowest individual round recorded at the event.

Other notable performances from the team included Daniel Montalvo, who tied for 56th place with a score of 6-over-par 222. Montalvo showcased consistency with back-to-back scores of 73 in his first two rounds. Meanwhile, teammates Andrew Morgan and Will Harris both finished tied for 66th at 9-over-par 225. Morgan’s rounds included a standout second round of 68, representing a marked improvement from his other rounds of 78 and 79.

Will Harris recorded steady scores across his rounds, posting 77, 76, and 72. Notably, Harris achieved a hole-in-one on the 17th hole during his final round, adding excitement to his performance. Rounding out the team was Andrew Sevene, who concluded with a score of 18-over-par 234 through scores of 81, 79, and 74.

Head coach Bryant Odom commended the team’s overall performance, particularly noting that five out of six players achieved rounds under par. The final round was marked by Jacksonville achieving their lowest team score, an accomplishment that took place in the most difficult playing conditions of the tournament.

The Jacksonville men’s golf team will continue their competitive season by participating in the JT Poston Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina from September 14-16, 2025.
