He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he was fortunate enough to study under notable instructors like Wei He, Ian Swensen, and Chen Zhao. But he didn’t stop there! Wu further pursued an Artist Diploma at The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, learning from legends like Paul Kantor and Barry Shiffman. Most recently, he was working on a Graduate Certificate at USC Thornton School of Music under Bing Wang, who is the Associate Concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Winning Competitions and Gaining Experience

Wu’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed, as he is a winner of the 2017 San Francisco Conservatory of Music Violin Concerto Competition, where he had the opportunity to solo with the Conservatory Orchestra during their 2017/18 Centennial Season. He also won Second Prize at the Diablo Symphony Orchestra Yen Liang Young Artist Competition and snagged the National First Prize at the 2019 MTNA Chamber Music Competition, along with the Barbara Fritz Chamber Music Award in 2020.

Wu’s experience extends beyond competitions as he participated in several prestigious music festivals, including Orford Musique and the Moritzburg Festival.
