Additional musical highlights include Thievery Corporation on June 18, a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute on June 19, and Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band scheduled for June 22.

For families and local residents, the summer offers various free events, such as a Movie Night at the Clay County Fairgrounds featuring vendors and a kids zone on June 17. A free tasting event at a local liquor store on June 20 will present CharlesGoodnight Bourbon Old Fashioned and ElMexicano Blanco Margarita, complemented by food from Mi Casa and live music from Sasha and Jeremiah French S. Another tasting session is set for June 21, highlighting Woodinville bourbon with food from Arepas Truck and live music from the George Aspinall Band.

The community is rallying for a good cause through the Villages of Hope initiative, which aims to provide sanctuary and support for women in Northeast Florida affected by trafficking and addiction. Funds are being raised to create tiny home villages, emphasizing the importance of community engagement during these summer activities.

Sporting events will also be a key attraction, with the Jacksonville Sharks playing at the Arena, as well as additional games against the San Antonio Gunslingers on July 12 and the Green Bay Blizzard on July 26.

Cultural and Artistic Offerings

Alongside the music scene, cultural experiences abound, with free admission to the Cummer Museum on Friday evenings, which includes live music, activities, and picnic dinners. Jacksonville’s artistic community is thriving with exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the Museum of Science and History (MOSH), and the Jacksonville Zoo.

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is set to reopen in August, increasing its capacity and offerings, while the LOL JAX Film Festival is scheduled for August 2-3.

As summer unfolds, Jacksonville is poised to be a vibrant hub of entertainment and community activity, underscoring the city’s commitment to cultural richness and local engagement.
