Rosanna was born on July 16, 1957, in Harlan County, Kentucky, to Ray Lewis and Irene Howard Lewis, both of whom have since passed away. At the young age of nine, her family moved from Harlan County to Jacksonville, where she later established her life and career. Known for her dedication to education and children, Rosanna worked as a teacher’s assistant, making a significant impact on her students and staff alike.

In addition to her work at school, Rosanna was a devoted member of the South Jacksonville Church of Christ. Visitation for friends and family will take place on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the chapel of Harlan Funeral Home. The burial will subsequently occur at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville, with Harlan Funeral Home handling all arrangements in honor of Rosanna Lewis Gerard.
