A 68-year-old woman in Jacksonville has been arrested for the murder of a 73-year-old man at the Morris Manors Apartments. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds in the lobby. A 68-year-old woman has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a 73-year-old man at a Jacksonville senior living facility. The incident took place early on May 13, 2025, at the Morris Manors Apartments located on Norfolk Boulevard.
The victim, identified as Robert Tucker, was discovered with multiple stab wounds in the lobby of the facility shortly after 2 a.m. Emergency responders from the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department pronounced Tucker dead at the scene.
Investigators from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office found a trail of blood leading from Tucker’s location to the apartment of the arrested woman, Carol Carroll. Following discussions with Carroll and an examination of the evidence at the scene, homicide detectives charged her with Tucker’s murder.
According to reports, Carroll and Tucker had some form of acquaintance prior to the event. Surveillance footage from the facility captured significant moments from the incident, showing Tucker exiting an apartment before collapsing in the lobby. In addition, authorities detained another woman, estimated to be between the ages of 65 and 80, for questioning as she was present in the apartment with Tucker during the incident.
