The first outlet will open at 3735 Longleaf Pine Parkway, and a second location is on the way at 10025 San Jose Blvd. The move, facilitated by local franchisees, highlights the brand’s commitment to quality and diverse offerings. H&H Bagels is known for its delicious bagels and has plans for more expansions across Florida by 2025.
St. Johns County and Jacksonville are set to gain new H&H Bagels locations as the renowned New York City bagel company plans its expansion into Northeast Florida. By 2025, the company aims to establish at least two unique outlets in the region, with a potential third location on the horizon.
The first location is earmarked for 3735 Longleaf Pine Parkway in St. Johns County. This site will occupy 1,237 square feet of space in the Shoppes of Aberdeen shopping center, which is conveniently located adjacent to Crave Cookies. This location’s landlord is Ash Properties.
In Jacksonville, H&H Bagels is currently awaiting permit approval for a new site located at 10025 San Jose Blvd. This area was previously home to Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and will cover 1,536 square feet within Crown Point Plaza, located in the Beauclerc area just north of Interstate 295. Sleiman Enterprises is the landlord for the Jacksonville location, which will see a build-out cost estimated at $275,008. Kaneco Construction LLC has been selected as the contractor, while Oculus Inc. from St. Louis will serve as the architect for the project. The construction management company overseeing the project is The McHenry, based in Baltimore.
The expansion of H&H Bagels into these areas will be facilitated by franchisees San Pablo Bagels Corp. and Longleaf Bagels Corp. The franchisee officers, Joshua Witt and Irwin Witt, have previously been involved with other restaurant franchises. Additionally, they have registered another venture, Jax Beach Bagels Corp., though a specific location has yet to be announced.
Founded in 1972, H&H Bagels has cemented its status as a staple of New York City’s culinary scene. The company is recognized for its delicious offerings, including signature griddled egg sandwiches and smoked salmon sandwiches. Popular culture has also embraced the brand, with H&H Bagels making appearances in celebrated television shows like “Seinfeld,” “Sex and the City,” “The Office,” and “Entourage.” Currently, H&H Bagels operates nine locations, with seven in New York City and additional spots in JFK and LaGuardia airports, Santa Monica, California, and Boca Raton, Florida.
The company is not stopping in Northeast Florida. H&H Bagels has ambitious plans to open three more locations across Florida by 2025, including in Tampa and West Palm Beach. Additional locations are also planned for other major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Knoxville, Tennessee.
H&H Bagels prides itself on using high-quality ingredients, including non-GMO flour, fresh cracked eggs, and kettle-boiled bagels sourced locally. Their Boca Raton outlet, which opened recently, has experienced high demand, with customers often lining up early for their offerings. The Boca Raton location operates daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Customers can look forward to a menu that showcases a variety of bagel flavors, delicious sandwiches, spreads, and beverages. H&H Bagels also offers nationwide shipping options, making it easier for fans to enjoy their products no matter where they are located.
