Jacksonville, Florida – Danone U.S. has announced the opening of a new $65 million production line at its manufacturing facility located at 2198 W. Beaver St. in Northwest Jacksonville. This expansion is set to create nearly 200 new jobs for the local community, underscoring the company’s commitment to American manufacturing and economic growth in the region.

The new production line was inaugurated on June 17, 2025, at a facility that has been operational since 1948. Spanning 115,025 square feet, the manufacturing plant has been a vital part of Jacksonville’s economy, supporting the production of popular coffee and creamer brands such as International Delight creamers and STōK Cold Brew Coffee. This investment reflects Danone’s focus on enhancing its production capabilities to better meet consumer demand.

With the addition of the state-of-the-art production line, Danone will utilize innovative technology, specifically a new bottle-molding process. This advancement is projected to increase production capacity while also improving operational efficiency and sustainability. Significantly, the new technology aims to achieve a 30% reduction in bottle loss and decrease water usage while producing recyclable bottles, which supports environmental initiatives.

Additionally, Danone is concurrently investing in a new regional distribution center in Jacksonville. This facility is part of a broader strategy to streamline a high-capacity distribution network, enhancing supply chain efficiency. The investment is expected to ensure that products are delivered at peak freshness throughout the Southeastern United States.

Combining investments in both the production line and the distribution center will create nearly 200 jobs, including both direct and indirect positions. This move emphasizes Danone’s commitment to supporting local communities by providing stable employment opportunities.

Danone’s commitment to domestic manufacturing is further highlighted by the fact that the company currently produces 90% of its products within the United States. This strategy not only strengthens the American supply chain but also allows for better control over product quality and freshness.

The company’s President, Dan Magliocco, noted that the expansion aligns with Danone’s ongoing business growth strategy and its dedication to driving economic and industry growth moving forward. The opening has also garnered praise from local leaders, including Rep. Aaron Bean (R-FL), who commended the establishment of jobs and manufacturing within the community.

Danone U.S. is a division of Danone North America, which is known for a diverse range of popular brands such as Activia, Dannon, and Silk. The North American operations of Danone are based in Broomfield, Colorado, and White Plains, New York, highlighting the company’s expansive reach across the continent.

The launch of the new production line and distribution center in Jacksonville is intended to be a significant boost not only to Danone’s operational capacity but also to the economic landscape of the local community. As the company moves forward with these investments, it continues to reiterate its commitment to enhancing local manufacturing and providing quality products to consumers.
