Ponte Vedra, Florida – The community of Ponte Vedra is mourning the unexpected loss of Francesco “Franco” Anthony Renhack, a 17-year-old junior at Ponte Vedra High School, who passed away on October 10, 2025. Franco, known for his contagious joy and kindness, left a lasting impact on those around him, particularly as an officer in the Best Buddies Club, where he advocated for inclusion and support among his peers.
Franco was born on March 14, 2008, in Jacksonville, Florida, to parents Marco Otto Renhack and Lisa Ann Renhack. He is survived by his younger sister, Lucia Marie Renhack, as well as his grandfathers, Lawrence Cellucci and Roland Renhack, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends. His grandmothers, Teresa Renhack and Joan Cellucci, had passed away prior to him.
Franco’s infectious personality was evident through his love of dancing, singing, and sharing laughter, often connecting with friends through FaceTime. He had ambitions of becoming a DJ and had a passion for Electronic Dance Music and Pop. In addition to his musical interests, Franco enjoyed playing video games and the popular trend of bottle flipping, always cherishing the time spent with friends.
Franco’s spirituality also played an essential role in his life as a devoted Catholic, and he received the sacraments of the Catholic Church, which brought comfort to his family during this difficult time. His commitment to faith and community was reflected in his many involvements, including significant contributions to several charities. Franco was actively involved with organizations such as Camp Boggy Creek, Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, Bit of Faith Ranch, Special Nation, and the Epilepsy Alliance Florida.
His family is grateful for the overwhelming support received from the Ponte Vedra community, staff, and students of both Ponte Vedra High School and Morning Star Catholic School, as well as various charitable organizations that were significant to Franco throughout his life. To honor his memory, they request that donations be made to charities that were meaningful to him, including Best Buddies and Camp I Am Special.
A Memorial Mass dedicated to Franco Renhack is scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1 PM, taking place at St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The mass aims to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to those around him.
