Born on February 17, 1951, Sue was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. She met her husband, the late William (Billy) Weaver, with whom she shared a strong bond, and they were married on September 4, 1971. Together, they built a loving family and were deeply involved in their local community.
A graduate of Englewood High School, Sue went on to enjoy a successful career as a Project Manager with reputable companies such as Prudential and IBM. Her professional accomplishments were significant, but those who knew her best described Sue as the heart and soul of her family, well-known for her caring nature and dedication to her loved ones.
Sue was a devout Christian and an active member of the Kernan Baptist Church, where she found strength and support within her faith community. Her passion for life was evident in the way she cherished family gatherings, often capturing those precious moments with photographs, eagerly declaring, “OK it’s picture time!”
Family and Legacy
Sue leaves behind a loving family, including her two sons, Adam Weaver (Stephanie) and Marc Weaver (Shannan). She is also survived by five grandchildren – Chase (Emilee), Ashlyn, Skyler, Clay, and Cory – and two great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Bowen. Additional survivors include her sister, Donna Walter (Greg), and her brother-in-law, Larry (Wanda), along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy, her parents Marjorie and Cleo Brown, and her brother Greg. The love and compassion she shared throughout her life will be remembered as part of her enduring legacy.
Visitation and Services
Visitation for Sue Weaver will take place on October 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for October 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kernan Baptist Church. Following the service, interment will occur at Greenlawn Cemetery.
In honor of Sue’s life and memory, a reception hosted by the Weaver family will take place after the graveside service from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Jacksonville. These gatherings aim to celebrate her remarkable life and the love she shared with others.
Arrangements for Sue Weaver’s services were made by Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home. As the community mourns her loss, Sue is remembered for her legacy of compassion, faith, and unconditional love that she bestowed upon her family and friends.
