Cady demonstrated remarkable skill in her recent contests against Christ’s Church and New Smyrna Beach, where she recorded a total of 62 assists and 16 digs. These contributions have played a significant role in the team’s ongoing success, as they are currently riding a six-match winning streak.

So far in the 2025 volleyball season, Cady has amassed a total of 247 assists and 98 digs. Earlier this season, she also reached a personal milestone by surpassing 500 career assists, showcasing her development and consistency as an athlete.

In addition to her accomplishments, Cady garnered the most votes in the Florida Times-Union’s Athlete of the Week selection, outperforming nominees from various sports, including Sahana Chokshi from Episcopal for golf and Eva Delaney from Creekside for cross country.

The Florida Times-Union is actively seeking nominations for the next week’s Athlete of the Week, which spans from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4, 2025. Coaches are encouraged to submit their players’ statistics and game performances via email to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is set for 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

Voting for the upcoming Athlete of the Week will commence on Monday mornings and conclude at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025. Participants are reminded that voting is limited to once per device per hour, and measures have been implemented to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In cases of suspected tampering, the Florida Times-Union reserves the right to either disqualify candidates or declare the voting results a “no contest.”
