Additionally, a fast-casual food service named Daily’s Dash will offer meals at the location. This marks the 38th Daily’s establishment, enhancing convenience services in the area.
St. Johns County has approved a series of permits for the construction of a Daily’s gas station and convenience store project in the SilverLeaf community, according to recent announcements made effective September 11. The estimated cost for the building permit for this endeavor is $2.7 million.
The proposed location for the convenience store will occupy 3.8 acres of land situated at County Road 16A, which is southeast of Silverleaf Parkway. It will feature a 7,600-square-foot convenience store alongside a gas station equipped with 16 fueling stations, including a total of 32 fuel pumps.
Additional planned amenities at the site consist of a drive-thru car wash, charging stations for electric vehicles, and 69 parking spaces designated for customers of the convenience store. Furthermore, there are plans underway for the construction of a medical office of 4,300 square feet with provisions for an additional 52 parking spaces.
As part of its operational strategy, Daily’s plans to include a fast-casual food service called Daily’s Dash, which will offer an array of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Customers will have the option to order sandwiches and specialty coffee beverages through touchscreen kiosks available on-site.
Established in 1997, Daily’s operates primarily in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville, and Broward County, and this project in Silverleaf will mark the chain’s 38th location. Plans for an additional Daily’s gas station and convenience store in Nocatee are under consideration, which would feature a 6,361-square-foot store with 1,200 square feet designated for a quick-service restaurant; however, this site will not include a car wash. The Nocatee location has already received a service availability letter from JEA, although no confirmed project exists to date.
In a separate project, First Coast Energy also purchased the Nocatee site for $3.15 million on December 18, 2024. Meanwhile, another Daily’s location in LaVilla, which is in the planning stages, is looking to build a 20,554-square-foot convenience store, bordered by Forsyth, Bay, Broad, and Jefferson streets, with arrangements for 36 parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations.
Earlier in 2023, the Downtown Development Review Board granted final approval for a similar Daily’s project in LaVilla after several months filled with delays and opposition from local advocates.
Looking towards future plans, the review of the developments for the Daily’s project in Silverleaf is scheduled to take place on December 4 through the St. Johns County Development Review Committee. This approval marks a significant step for the expansion of daily convenience services within the growing area of SilverLeaf.
