After his military service, Chuck dedicated his time to various roles, including a prominent position with Civil Service at the Marine Corps Engineer School at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.
One of the highlights of his life was his friendship with Lt.Col. Gary Kenter, a bond akin to that of family. Chuck’s connections expanded beyond military ties, as he later moved to Jacksonville Beach to care for Marie’s ailing mother. The couple thrived in their new atmosphere, making friends through church, engaging in bingo, golf, and leisurely beach strolls.

Throughout his life, Chuck exemplified the meaning of generosity in often unnoticed ways. His gentle spirit and willingness to lend a hand were traits that endeared him to many in his community.
