Jacksonville Man Gets Over 12 Years in Federal CSAM Case

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville defendant left federal court this week with a lengthy prison term after admitting he pushed child abuse videos through social apps.

Judge Jordan E. Pratt ordered Tyler Bruce McClure, age 25 and from Jacksonville, to serve 12 years and seven months in prison. Gregory W. Kehoe, the U.S. attorney covering this Florida district, announced the outcome. McClure also faces a 13-year stretch of post-release supervision, a $16,000 restitution order for child victims, and sex-offender registration. He entered a guilty plea June 17 and has remained jailed since his Nov. 17, 2025, arrest in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators opened the probe in June 2025 after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children flagged illicit uploads on an online app. Agents tied the account to McClure and matched an upload path to a Jacksonville house.

In early October 2025, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detectives joined Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives and Homeland Security Investigations agents to search that house under a federal warrant. They later seized McClure’s phone at a construction site. Device exams recovered dozens of banned videos and photos of minors.

The Northeast Florida INTERCEPT Task Force ran the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney D. Rodney Brown handled the prosecution under Project Safe Childhood.

Records say McClure also bargained over buying abuse videos with another user through a payment app. The prison term keeps him locked up for more than a decade before the long supervision period starts in Jacksonville and beyond.

Federal prosecutors cast the case as part of a wider push against online trafficking of child sexual abuse material. Local and federal partners said tips to the task force remain the fastest way to open similar files.
